❤WhatzBuzzin'?: Honey Baked Chicken Drumsticks❤

Chicken is probably my ultimate "go-to" food/meat of all time, next to rice. I love drumstick, thighs and wings. I know this sounds weird but I love the skin especially when it's fried. My husband makes fun of me whenever I eat chicken because I eat up to the bones. Finger Lickin Good! When I was still in the Philippines, my mom used to bring me to Jollibee most of the time because she knows how much I love fried chicken. Then we moved here in Washington and the only time I can get Jollibee is when we go visit my father-in-law since it's closer to him. I admit, it's quite a drive down that chicken place. Anyway, I was looking at chicken recipes the other day to cook for dinner. I made
sure we have all the ingredients first. That night, I was leaning to a more healthy, per say, and did not want to fry anything so I ended up making this delish dish I found on the internet and kind of adjusted and "customized" it a little bit. There's just 3 of us so I adjusted some of the measurements. Here it is:

Ingredients:

2 1/2 pounds chicken legs
3/4 cup honey
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 ketchup
2-3 cloves garlic, minced
salt and pepper

Procedure:

Begin by preheating your oven to 350 degrees.

Then lay the chicken legs out on a paper towel and dry them up. This will make the spices stick and absorb onto the meat more.

Now this step is optional, I cut a slit on the meat just to make sure it will be cooked entirely on the inside and the sauce will be absorbed as well.

Spread the chicken on a clean plate and sprinkle Salt and Pepper on both sides.

Put them in a foil-lined baking dish, I used a metal pan/baking dish on this one, and making sure to have the entire dish covered in foil to avoid mess.

In a bowl, mix the Honey, Soy Sauce, Ketchup and Garlic. Stir until well mixed. If the mixture doesn't combine well (due to honey), microwave it for 30 seconds and stir. When done, pour the honey mixture over the chicken legs.

Bake it for 45 minutes making sure to rotate it half way and have the other side get some sauce as well. Put back into the oven, this time raise the temperature to 425 degrees and bake until sauce is bubbly and caramelized on the chicken. This should take about 15 minutes. Remove from oven and serve hot over rice!

ENJOY!!!!
